HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! Wow, a whole year. I can't believe how fast time is moving. I pray and hope that each of you had the best year, and even if it didn't feel the best, I hope that it produced the best. The best in you and the best for you! In my most recent post I talked about how I have been gone for SO long - and I do apologize. Life got away from me and I was lazy, haha. But I am back and very devoted to what God wants to do this year.

Now that I have found my new normal, I have also found my rhythm for this platform. At the beginning of last year I talked about the direction I felt God taking this and I still stand by that. I want this place to remain raw and unfiltered for those that are looking for like minded people going through like minded things. But I also want this place to be a platform, of knowledge and growth. No more eating baby food or only receiving encouragement. I want this to be a place where we all feel sharpened in one way or another. This means that some posts won't be filled with pretty and comforting revelation. Or great quotes that I will post later in the week as helpful reminders. Some of these blogs will be straight knowledge and straight bible. I want to invite you on this journey that I have been on that has been setting me free, setting me right, and setting me up.

A verse that I recently read that really captures my heart for this year and/or season is Psalm 27:8 and it says:

"When you said, 'Seek my face.'

My heart said to you, "Your face, Lord, I will seek."

Now, through this entire chapter it is pretty obvious that David is dealing with some kind of adversity and trouble with his enemies. But even in the midst of all of that, he answers to the invitation of God, to seek Him still. And this may not necessarily be where you are in life. Or maybe it is. Either way I believe that God is asking us, in the midst of whatever, to seek His face. My prayer for this year is that we seek relentlessly; not so that we can receive blessings or material things, but so that we can experience the fullness of who God is. Every side, every mystery, and every thing that He has to offer. Matthew 6:33 tells us to first seek the kingdom and it's righteousness and then things will be added unto us. I don't know about you but I have been doing it backwards for so long. Seeking the things and people of this world when the only command in that verse is to seek the kingdom and righteousness. It's time we put God in His rightful place...the throne of our hearts and the object of our affections.

My only prayer is that you would want to continue to join me in this journey. In the highs and the lows. In the busy and in the stagnant.

I am VERY excited for 2023. I have so much planned and so much to dream for. Can't wait to share! See you soon...
