Happy ”love” month, everyone!! If you’re anything like me, February can very easily become the corniest month. And I don’t say that from a place of bitterness, haha! I say that from a place of not being a total romantic. But anyway, I really want to dedicate this month and these talks to the kind of love that matters above all else. God’s love! Some may think that this topic can seem cliche but if there is one thing that I am learning is that there’s a lot of people that don’t know that God loves them. I never want to forget those people. So, if you’re new here and don’t know this, God loves you. Maybe you’re not new but need the reminder - God loves you. Here’s how I know that.

Very simply put, the bible says that “for God so loved the world…” He so loved. He didn’t just love, He so loved. “That He gave His one and only son, so that whoever believes in Him, may have eternal life.” God loves you so much that He gave up His own child as a sacrifice just so that He could live in eternity with you. That’s it. That’s the gospel and that’s the love of God.

The love of God goes beyond and it goes before. It pierces through and it overcomes. Gods love for you isn't a feeling. It’s not just the warmth of His presence or the word He simply speaks. It’s His nature. God is love. He has reserved the entirety of His love just for you and me. You don’t have to earn it, you may not deserve it but, it’s waiting for you anyway.

So, on this valentine’s day, as people gather to highlight their significant other in some way, I want to highlight Jesus for us all. You may feel lonely or you may feel seen. You may feel misunderstood or you may not. You may feel loved today or you may feel forgotten. Let me be the one to tell you that God so loves you. Today, tomorrow, and forever. The bible is clear that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from His love. Allow yourself to receive His love today and forevermore.

Happy Valentine’s Day <3
